What is an electronic money entity?

Pecunia Cards EDE is a financial entity authorized and regulated by the Bank of Spain with registration number 6707.

How can I request the card?

You can request it through the website www.pecunpay.es.

How do prepaid cards work?

Just like any financial debit card.

How do I check my balance and transactions?

Once you have registered as a customer, you have access to a Client Area on the website, where you can check your balances and transactions.

How are prepaid cards recharged?

There are several ways:

  • By sending a bank transfer from your bank
  • Through the Client Area

When will my money be available after a recharge?

Your money will be available instantly, except if you do it by bank transfer, which will take two days to arrive.

How do I activate my prepaid card?

There is no need to activate it; just by recharging it you can start using it.

How can I check my PIN number?

Within your Client Area you can obtain and check the PIN; you will receive an SMS on your phone.

Can I shop at any store?

You can make purchases at any store and eCommerce worldwide.

Am I charged a fee for shopping at stores?

Never.

Can the card be used abroad?

You can use it at any store and ATMs worldwide.

What happens if I lose my card? Do I lose my money?

No. Since it is not an e-wallet card, your money is safe in your operational account. If you lose your card, you can deactivate it from your client area so that nobody can use it. However, since it is a securely issued card, it will always ask for the PIN or security codes.
